I hope you are well by His Grace.
We are reaching out with a heavy heart to share the devastating news that the Rector’s office building at Ánanda Shivanii Master Unit was completely destroyed by a fire on January 19th, 2025. The cause of the fire was determined to be a faulty heating system, and while we are grateful that no lives were lost, the loss of this property has been heartbreaking.
The estimated cost of rebuilding the house is approximately $100,000. This amount covers materials, labor, instruments, computers and essential furnishings to restore a safe and comfortable living space for its residents. Unfortunately, the local Margiis don’t have the financial means to undertake this enormous burden alone, and we are turning to our Hong Kong Sector community for help.
We kindly appeal to your generosity and compassion to help us raise the necessary funds to rebuild. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in bringing hope and stability back to those affected.
